Recently, the 2026 Ferroalloy Industry Annual Conference was successfully held. As an important annual exchange event in the ferroalloy sector, the conference brought together representatives from ferroalloy producers, research institutes, testing laboratories, and industry service organizations to engage in in-depth discussions on industry operations, technological advancements, and future development trends. SCWEIHONG was invited to attend and made an on-site appearance, engaging with industry peers to explore topics related to ferroalloy material analysis and quality control.

Ferroalloy products are widely used in steelmaking and special materials manufacturing. The stable control of chemical composition—particularly the content of carbon and sulfur—plays a critical role in determining product performance and downstream applications. As industry requirements for data accuracy and repeatability continue to rise, reliable analytical testing methods have become an essential pillar of enterprise quality management.
During the conference, SCWEIHONG showcased its SES-906 High-Frequency Infrared Carbon & Sulfur Analyzer. Based on common sample types in the ferroalloy industry, SCWEIHONG conducted technical exchanges with attendees on carbon and sulfur analysis application scenarios, method selection, and key considerations in practical laboratory operations. Technical discussions and experience sharing focused on the carbon and sulfur control requirements during testing of typical ferroalloy materials such as ferrosilicon, silicomanganese, and high-carbon ferrochrome.

Through on-site communication with ferroalloy producers and testing institutions, SCWEIHONG gained deeper insights into the industry’s practical needs in raw material control, process inspection, and finished product analysis, while also collecting valuable front-line feedback to support future product optimization and technical service improvements.
